The History
The MobileIP story began in early 2004 with a vision to enhance mobile data communications. MobileIP has since gone on to become one of Queensland's outstanding ICT success stories. MobileIP's award-winning, internationally patented "Free2move" router is now the trusted multi-modal router for all mobile data communications.
The Future
As wireless and mobile data technology continues in spiral evolution, MobileIP's commitment to retaining hardware platforms that are flexable and interchangable maximises available technology, enhances performance, increases reliability and is simpler to deploy.
The Technology
What is Free2move?
An intelligent multi-modal router, and end to end system.
It will seamlessly transition between multiple wireless data uplinks according to configurable business rules.
It establishes a single, roaming point of connectivity for multiple applications and users, while on the move and in the field.
It provides static IP and DHCP addresses, regardless of handovers between the various networks.
It is ideal for vehicles, trailers and 'grab and go' portable comms kits.
Ithas an easy to use web interface tool for full remote visibility of the entire fleet.
Wireless data network options include HSPA/EDGE/GPRS, CDMA/EVDO, WiMAX, 802.11, satellite, radio and canopy/mesh networks as well as ADSL or cable via Ethernet. Free2move will be 4G/LTE compatible, when it becomes commercially available.
The Applications
Free2move enables any data application to operate with equal efficiency in a mobile environment, provided the network (or networks) being utilised have the necessary capacity.
